Ha Noi's Japanese-technology waste treatment plant opened

     Recently, Director of the Municipal Department of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Trong Dong said, the Ha Noi People's Committee inaugurated a waste treatment facility, which works on an environmentally-friendly Japanese technology, at Xuan Son waste treatment zone in Son Tay Town. The Project, built on a total estimated expenditure of VND 47 billion (US$ 2.16 million), includes a landfill covering around 3ha and has the capacity to treat around 100 tonnes of waste a day.      Fukuoka prefecture has enough experience in tackling pollution and will cooperate and support Ha Noi in addressing various environmental issues.      The Project commenced in June 2013, in conjunction with 40 years of the Viet Nam-Japan diplomatic ties and five years of cooperation between Ha Noi and Fukuoka Prefecture.   Bùi Hằng
