15/09/2015
Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Ha Cong Tuan and South African Deputy Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs Rejoice Thizwelondi Mabudafhasi recently concluded an action plan in the South African capital of Pretoria to implement the memorandum of understanding on cooperation in biodiversity preservation and protection.
The action plan will take effect until 2017 including major cooperative fields such as managing and preserving biodiversity, implementing CITES regulations and other international conventions, implementing the law on protecting wildlife, and managing and protecting natural reserves.
Rejoice Thizwelondi Mabudafhasi said that the action plan was the result of cooperation between the two countries and the memorandum of understanding on enhanced cooperation in preserving and protecting biodiversity, which was concluded on December 10, 2012 in Hanoi by Vietnamese Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat and South African Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs Edna Molewa.
